“Refreshing our Church’s Vision” – Status, Progress and Next Steps
NOVEMBER 15TH
Following the Church Meeting’s agreement to move forward with the “Refreshing our Church’ Vision”, based initially on the 5 Working Groups, the Working Group Co-ordinators have held an initial planning session and intend to invite all members of the Working Groups to a fuller planning session on some dates that are being discussed with them within the next two weeks.
Out of this is likely to emerge a plan and a timetable for the first steps which are likely to include an initial round of one-on-one conversations with a pilot group of members (who will be invited to participate) on the three main task areas – Case for Change, Truth about Today and Future Vision as well as some background research.
On the basis of an initial pilot number of conversations, we will together both refine the process, extend it to everyone who wants to participate and provide initial feedback on progress and emerging ideas, themes and findings at the January 2010 Church Meeting as the first check-point.
Communication will continue to be conducted through all regular channels as well as a special page on our Church’s web-site which has been created this week.
