Details of our buildings and facilities
The Church buildings comprise:
The Chapel, built in 1834, which seats about 100, and has a balcony (currently not in use) seating a further 70. The Chapel has a fine 2 manual organ built by Wilkinsons of Kendal.
The Schoolroom which has recently been refurbished and is used by our teenage group on Sundays and for other meetings during the week
The new Hall, which was completed in 2003 as part of a £250,000 project. The Hall looks out onto a private, secluded (and occasionally sunny) garden and we have created a Peace Garden for quiet reflection and meditation. Both the Schoolroom and the Hall are served by a new kitchen with cooker, warming cupboard and dishwasher.
The Schoolroom and Hall and are available for hire and are extensively used by groups such as Brownies, Pilates, the Art Society, Meet to Eat, Mews Choir as well as for Further Education Courses and Wedding Receptions.
All parts of the buildings, including the Church, are fully accessible to wheel chair users and those who find difficulty with steps and we have a fully equipped disabled toilet.
The Church, the Schoolroom and the Hall all have a 'loop system' for the hard of hearing and we are about to install a new projection system in the Church.
It is a requirement of our Church Council that alcohol cannot be consumed on the premises.
